Krabi Airport has tapped aviation IT supplier SITA to modernise and streamline passenger processing operations.As a part of Thailand’s Division of Airports’ four-year strategic plan to enhance operations, Krabi Airport will roll out AirportConnect Open, SITA’s common-use passenger processing platform and self-service check-in kiosks at each home and worldwide terminals.The service and upkeep of the system at Krabi Airport shall be undertaken by contractor Samart Comtech Co. Ltd. in collaboration with SITA.Samart Telcoms has been offering companies to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Worldwide Airport since 2006.”We’re happy to work with Krabi Airport and Samart Telcoms to carry the advantages of common-use expertise, which can improve the expertise for each passengers and airways,” stated Sumesh Patel, SITA President, Asia Pacific.Improvement plans at Krabi Airport embrace a brand new Terminal three and renovations of Terminals 1 and a pair of so as to improve the capability from 1,500 passengers per hour to three,000 passengers per hour by 2022.SITA’s passenger expertise shall be rolled out throughout all three terminals.
